Hi everyone! My name is Samantha and I am a proud 2024 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College, where I earned my Master’s degree in Arts Management. Before that, I completed my undergraduate studies at Washington & Jefferson College, majoring in Studio Art with double minors in Communication Arts and Spanish.
Since childhood, I’ve been drawn to creating things—from the age of four, I remember sitting in the kitchen with my oversized smock, wooden easel, and a box of Crayola crayons. That same passion and imagination drive me today, both in my personal work and in my professional life.
My overall journey as an artist is deeply rooted in family. I lost my mother in 2017 to a long battle with Breast Cancer, and since then, I’ve worked to carry forward her creative legacy. She was an incredible artist who graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and built a career as a commercial artist and graphic designer. Her creativity, work ethic, and passion for visual storytelling left a lasting impact on me. Art has always been our shared language, and continuing to create allows me to feel connected to her and honor the gifts she passed down to me.
Currently, I work as a Client Services Team Lead and Programmatic Media Trader for Grapeseed Media, focusing on creative campaign building and client relations for arts-based organizations. My role allows me to blend strategic thinking with creative insight, supporting artists and cultural institutions through digital innovation.
Art remains the center of my life—a means of expression, connection, and growth—and I’m excited to keep evolving in both the creative and professional worlds. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you’d like to connect either on my Instagram @samsonnetart or on LinkedIn. In my spare time, I create commissioned works and sell my artwork at local markets in the Pittsburgh area. Let's connect!
I created 66 portraits for my senior art show entitled Reflections. This body of work took over 2 years to create, and I sold more than half of my pieces. I find great pride in this piece of work and love thinking about how portraits from this collection now exist in homes around the country.
